Hans Trapman is professor emeritus in history of culture at the Erasmus Chool of History, Culture and Communication. He specializes in intellectual history c. 1500 – c. 1700. Central in his studies is the intellectual legacy of Desiderius Erasmus, which came together in his book ‘Wise foolishness. Five hundred years Praise of Folly’, amongst other things.
